Vintage Guitar Restoration

This guitar is beautiful. This guitar had already been "mostly" restored when it came to me, including body reinforcement, bridge, neck reset, and a refinish. The luthier work on this guitar is top notch, but the refinish was poorly done, so I stripped it down to the bare wood and what I found was the most beautiful birch guitar. It retained a bit of red stain from the original finish, but otherwise the wood was so beautiful, I simply sanded, hit it with some amber shellac, and buffed it out with beeswax. I replaced the nut and saddle with custom made bone and added a bone bridge pins with abalone inlay.

It really is a stunning guitar.

And, plays and sounds incredible too. Comfortable, low action with a warm and punchy tone. This guitar is loud and responsive. Lots of midrange clarity. Open chords ring true and it’s got that old acoustic blues tone to it. This guitar has a unique sound that projects and cuts through a mix really well.

Great couch guitar … studio guitar … tour bus guitar … travel guitar …beautiful collectors piece … super easy guitar to grab and go ... Solid wood construction. One of the most beautiful solid birch guitars I have come across (and I've seen a lot of these!).
