1940's Encore Lustre ($600.00 USD)

Project type

Vintage Guitar Restoration

This is a fully restored and upgraded 1940 Encore Lustre (similar to Harmony Supertone) with many upgrades (see below). This guitar plays and sounds incredible. Yes - these guitars were entry level, but manly because they were set up poorly, had floating bridges, and crazy high action.

But ... they were made from solid old growth wood making them exceptional guitars once fully restored and upgraded.

This guitar has a very comfortable soft-v neck profile, is super responsive, and projects clear, bright tone whether strumming, picking, or playing single notes.

Custom Bone Nut
Custom Bone Saddle
Rosewood fixed bridge
String-through bridge (no bridge pins required!)
12º Fretboard Radius
Abalone Fretboard Markers 5/7/9/12/15/17
Side Fretboard markers 5/7/9/12/15/17
Professional Re-fret
Professional Neck Reset
Repaired stress cracks (still visible) and stabilized bracing
Stripped, Refinished, Stained, and Sealed
